A Simple Life
Last November I was so fortunate to have Jill Peterson from A Simple Life magazine come and shoot out home for this seasons issue. What a fun day! We really needed two days, one just for yakkin lol!
I love that she wanted to feature a lighter side to the primitive look. I am honoured to be apart of her wonderful magazine...

Big Exciting Changes!
So over the next couple of months I will be making some big changes to my business...I will be closing my shop here at our home in St George.
I have acquired a much larger space in the Waterford Antique Market and will be moving my entire shop into this space. I am thrilled! The timing could not be better! I will then turn my shop space into my work studio! I am so excited! I cannot wait to have all my creative supplies in one area.
My Etsy shop has been going strong and I really want to continue creating wonderful items and grow my site. I have outgrown the space in our home, and have not seen the top of my dining room table in years! We have some wonderful plans for the studio. Including some slip covered furniture, a large sewing table, computer area...( think "Where Woman Create")
insert dream Pinterest picture!...in the meantime we will beginning to move into our new space at the market at the end of the month. I will now have more time to search for fabulous finds and create more handmades! I could not be happier! It is funny how things have their way of working out! I will miss puttering out in my shop that is for sure. It has been a part of my life for the past 26yrs in one form or another!...I hope all my wonderful customers that have visited over the years will continue to support my move to the market. I will continue to offer antiques and handmades in that simple primitive farmhouse style we all love!

Keeping Busy!
Loving this mild winter we are having here! Although spring cannot come soon enough! My brick and mortar shop is closed until the end of March. I am looking forward to getting it ready with fresh new antique finds, my handmades, and some fresh herbs and flowers poking about!
In the meantime I have been busy working on items for my ETSY shop. www.1871farmhouse.etsy.com
I just love working with antique linen and homespun fabric. I rarely use a pattern I just let the fabric decide!

The dust has settled...
First off I would like to give out a huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful folks that made it out to our show...As always it was a flurry of shoppers with their arms full! It is always nice to see familiar faces and new ones too! I spent most of last week putting my shop back together and working on replenishing items that sold out...I have listed a few Christmas items on my www.1871farmhouse.etsy.com
I will be listing more as I get items finished up...and if you are in the St George area do stop in! Thanks again everyone!
