Before & After

Before
I've  had this flat to the wall cupboard for years. It's been in every room of my house! The last place was my bedroom and although it's a great piece, the green paint was not doing it for me anymore....so!... I tend to be a bit of an "original paint" snob when it comes to pieces in the house so I've stewed about this for awhile!!...The green paint was original but nothin special so I decided to go for it and paint it white...I went with a nice flat antique white and did not paint over any original wear marks...I gave it a bit of a sand and stripped the hardware, leaving some of the paint on the clasps...I'm really happy with how it turned out and the cupboard is now in my front hallway...I don't know what I was worried about!

I had the same dilemma a while back. It was my last cupboard with green paint and I wanted it white, but I ended up selling it to replace it with a white one. I also prefer original paint, but I do think your cupboard looks much better white....good job!

Well, I Loved it Before AND After, no downside to a killer piece like that is there? Glad your makeover turned out just the way you wanted it to... I'm always a tad nervous to do a makeover on an original piece unless its really horrible. *LOL* But I have transformed some horrible pieces with good bones into Treasures that everyone responds well to, so I'm getting bolder.
